Lincolnshire Downtown Apartments are a 110-unit apartment complex, located on the edge of downtown Decatur, at the corner of South Main (US Route 51 Business) and Decatur Streets. In the complex, there are 18 brick buildings with 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments, and a 5-unit townhouse.

The neighborhood is varied with single family residential, a park, and 3 churches within a block. To the North is downtown Decatur, including a 5 story professional office building, Illinois Power Engineering headquarters, a Macon County office building, and the Macon County Court House. Also, to the north is the retail section of downtown, with stores, banks, and restaurants. To the Northwest is Millikin University, and to the South is Lake Decatur. All of the above are within walking distance.

In 1998, Lincolnshire was given an award for “Beautiful Landscaping” by the Near Westside Restoration and Preservation Society. Since that time, a landscape architect has been hired to further renovate and enhance the exteriors of the complex.
